The word “remember” is central to the message of episode 6. On this tour we will set up the fourth and final pillar in the Temple of Truth – History – and take a close look at the importance of maintaining a firm grip on the past. In the process, we will see that a proper appreciation of historical context – in other words, our place in God’s “larger story” – is fundamental to an accurate understanding of almost every aspect of our lives. History provides us with indispensable insights into the meaning of existence, God’s plan and purpose for the ages, man’s responsibility toward the Creator, and his duty toward his fellow creatures.

This coming Friday is going to be our very first camping trip!!  We will be heading up to Sardine Lake near Tahoe National Forest on Friday (8/6) and heading back Sunday afternoon.  It’s going to be great spending time together and experiencing God’s presence among the trees, lakes and bears.

When: Friday 8/6 to Sunday 8/8
Where: Sardine Lake, CA
Cost: TBD  ..but should be around $30

How’s it going?! 

this friday, we will be looking at Part 2 of “Science: what is truth.”  The lesson will go into more in-depth examination of the theory of evolution and the basis behind this scientific theory.  Hopefully this lesson can help shape our view on creation in one way or another.
